The Amanita

This mural is located at Stonehenge Gardens in Tamaqua, PA. It was completed in September 2022 and is 15 square feet.

These grounds host many transformational events and this mural was painted during one of them - Harmonic Earth. After finding various amanita mushrooms on the property, I used one as a photo reference to paint on their aged barn. The amanita mushroom has been revered in many cultures that date back to the beginning of civilization. This mushroom although poisonous it is full form, possesses many medicinal properties.
